5 Tips & Tricks To Identify Your Bag In The Luggage Carousel

Identifying your bags from the luggage carousel needs some serious skilling.

Post touchdown in the airport, you hurriedly rush to the carousel and what you see is equally horrifying – hundreds of bag sharing some color, texture, manufacturer, and dimensional characteristics. For some people, it’s a nightmare!

I recall a friend telling me her story about how it turned out for her. She had simply forgotten how her bag looks like while she searched through the carousel at San Francisco Airport. After a fair share of investigations, discussions, arguments, and confusion, she found her bag was present there only, but she couldn’t identify!

I believe you also had similar stories in the dock. As for me, I lost my guy to a gentleman who considered it was his bag. Thank god, I noticed it much early than later!

Anyway, without further ado, I would tell you some tips & tricks to spot your luggage.

1. Use the marker. If you have a light-colored bag, you can use the market to write your name, address, & details, giving it an identification that it belongs to you. Though it would hamper your bag’s appearance, it’s quite practical.

2. Use the paper & tape. If you don’t want to spoil your bag’s beautiful aesthetics, use a paper to write the NAP and paste it using a tape. It may feel slightly messy, but this option is legit.

3. Use stickers. Some might call you mad, but this one works. You can do it at a cost of slight embarrassment (who cares?) and paste some of your favorite cartoon or superhero stickers.

4. Use paint. This wouldn’t feature on my list, but people have done it for the best results. You can use a unique combo of paint on the bag’s handle and make it look wonderfully unique.

5. Use spotters.
A practical, sound, clean, and efficient idea is to utilize luggage spotters with the bag. Putting a customized luggage spotter helps you quickly pick your bag off the carousel and head to your destination. No confusion, nothing!
